New House Info

Our new house is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom ranch that was built in the 60's. There are a few things that are still original to the house and I am sure we will slowly update them. Heck, vintage is in again isn't it? Well we have been in our house for about 2 months now. We love it. It felt home right away. Here are some numbers behind the first couple of months.... 2 jars of spackle 18 gallons of paint 9 new light fixtures 6 yards of dirt 1 tornado And that is just the beginning.  There are lots of projects that we are working on. I was going to try and do video updates as I went, but my cameras were still packed up and I didn't take the time to work on it. We are closer and closer to getting all unpacked. Only a few more boxes in the garage. Thank you again to all of our family and friends that have helped us during the move.  We couldn't have done it without you!

The American Dream

And there it is. We still believe in the American Dream. Both Darlene and I have owned a house before, but for both of us this feels like our first time. We have been looking forward to this for a few years now. Our hard work is paying off and we will have our own place again. The kids will no longer be sharing a room and we will have plenty of room for our families and friends to visit us. Our closing date is next week. The house needs a bit of work. It is dirty and needs a little bit of new paint, but we are excited to start working on it. My goal is to use this blog as a way of sharing our adventures. To show before and after photos on our work and possibly some videos to go along with them. Subscribe to my YouTube Channel

New Title?

So I started this blog when we lived in Rapids, we no longer live on Chase Street.  We have moved a few times since then.  The blog has gone stagnant for a while. We have been renting places for the last few years. We are hoping that will change in the very near future. This month we put an offer on a house. It was accepted the next day! Housing market has been pretty hot lately. Houses going fast. We were happy to find one that we feel will be "Home" for our family for a while. I hope to bring this blog back and share our experiences with becoming first time home buyers. "again"
